“If I can teach you anything, it would be to identify the stressful thoughts that you are believing and to question them, to get still enough so that you can hear your own answers”. – Bryon Katie
Have you ever found yourself recognizing the need for healthier choices but felt lost on where to start? Or maybe you've considered reaching out to a therapist, but the idea of finding the right fit seemed daunting, causing you to hold back. You are certainly not alone in these feelings. Many of us grapple with the challenges of life changes and the weight of overwhelming situations, often feeling isolated in our struggles. It sometimes feels like it’s easier to give up and think that you aren't worth the effort, but I want to remind you that you truly are worth fighting for. You can fight for your peace, your abilities, your future, your greatness. You have all the resources you need inside you; sometimes, all it takes is a little support and guidance to help you realize it.
Therapy isn't a quick fix; it's a profound journey that requires commitment, bravery, and resilience. I'm here to walk alongside you as you navigate this path toward your breakthrough. Together, we will share moments of laughter and tears, but above all, we will work through the challenges and issues that may have their origins in your childhood, relationships, and life experiences. As a therapist, there is nothing more rewarding than witnessing those moments and conversations that culminate in "AHA" realizations. It is incredibly fulfilling when my clients make connections about themselves for the first time or when they start to independently utilize the strategies from their personal toolkit.
As a therapist, my goal is to ensure you feel connected, valued, acknowledged, and understood. I incorporate a range of proven therapeutic techniques, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), solution-focused therapy, and motivational interviewing, while also integrating elements of faith and spirituality when relevant to our discussions. As a mother of an LGBT child, as well as a friend, daughter, and wife, I have encountered a wide array of experiences. This background allows my clients to perceive our work together as unbiased and free from judgment, fostering a safe environment for them to share their personal journeys.
There are significant advantages to accessing therapy through telehealth. Engaging in discussions about life's challenges from the comfort and safety of your own home can make it easier for individuals to take that crucial first step in their therapeutic journey. I provide telehealth sessions in the afternoons and on Saturdays to accommodate those who may have work commitments or family responsibilities during the day, ensuring they have the opportunity to seek support during their available hours.
